1. Find a property using the general search box on TripAdvisor’s homepage. A general search box on the homepage allows users to search by city, destination, general region, or property.

Your property will display if the keywords in your property title, listing, or location match the search terms inputted into the general search box on TripAdvisor’s homepage.

2. Find a property by searching using the vacation rental section on TripAdvisor’s homepage. The Vacation Rentals tab allows users to input a specific destination and filters highly targeted traffic to your listing. From the Vacation Rentals page, travelers can refine the homes by using the search filtering tools, such as check-in and check-out days as well as number of bedrooms.

3. Find a property by narrowing down listings using the tool bar to the left of the search results. Travelers can filter by the criteria:

4. Find a property using desired views to peruse a selection of homes. Travelers can view properties in a list format (default), on a map view, by a photo, or check out the homes that are advertising special deals.

5. Find a property using the ‘sorted by’ feature, which lists homes sorted by any of the following criteria:

1. Rates display in unique currencies enable easy comparison and to maximize inquiry conversion. Since your property receives quite a bit of international exposure, we want to make sure that interested travelers can easily view and compare prices. Rates are listed in the currency native to the particular country in which a traveler is searching. See the table below for examples:

2. Rates are shown on the search results page. TripAdvisor displays nightly, weekly, and monthly rates on both the search results page as well as on your individual property listing page in the vacation rentals section:

3. Detailed prices are posted in the ‘Rates’ section of your property listing page. Additional rate information, such as taxes, cleaning fees, payment methods, and special offers, will display under the rates tab.

Featured Listings and ‘Also Consider’ listings are placements specifically designed to help newly added and undiscovered listings receive exposure. You do not have to pay any additional fees to have your property advertised in these promotional sections. The properties in these sections rotate regularly to show travelers a variety of new and undiscovered rental accommodations.

Any change that you make to your FlipKey account can take up to two business days to update on TripAdvisor. We make sure that all changes update automatically so you do not have to worry about making changes to your listing on both FlipKey and TripAdvisor.
Edits to the information below will take up to two business days to update on TripAdvisor:
The property ranking algorithm and traveler rating (which includes the review count) can take up to a week to display updated information on TripAdvisor. Since new reviews will not be immediately factored into the traveler rating review count, actual reviews and the traveler rating review count will temporarily be displaying a different number of reviews. This is due to the fact that this is a weighted algorithm which takes into account listing content and review quality, quantity, and age.
